Do you ever feel out of control? Do you find yourself trying to avoid unpleasant thoughts or feelings that just won't go away? I understand that feeling like this can make it hard to get through your day and that’s why I am here to help you break free from those feelings. I am an LGBTQIA ally and aim to create a safe space for all my clients to express themselves freely. I have experience working with children and adults with a variety of issues including depression, mood disorders, anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, sexual abuse, suicidal ideations, life transitions, identity issues, grief, family conflict, and relationship issues.
I take a strengths-based, person-centered approach to counseling while incorporating elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Inner Child work. However, the theoretical approach I use differs from client to client based on their issues and what will be the most beneficial for them.
I know that you are the expert on yourself which is why I am not here to tell you what to do rather I am here to help guide you along your journey to healing and wellness. Therapy is a collaborative process where we will work together to determine what you want to get out of therapy.
