About Me

Children and teenagers are confronted with life’s ups and downs just like the adults around them. I help my clients to create a safe space in therapy to deal with the challenges that come with growing up. I have extensive experience working with children and teens with behavior issues, ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, family dynamic issues, and a variety of other issues! I bring a background in public education to my current work in private practice and can answer questions parents have about accessing resources for their children in schools (including 504 and IEP questions).

I am trained to treat Internet Gaming Disorder (IGD). I completed a 30 hour training course through the Evergreen Council on Problem Gambling. This course addressed current trends in gaming, assessment and diagnosis of IGD, and best practices for treatment. If you are concerned about your own use of video games (or the amount your child is playing video games), let's talk! This is a new area of counseling that I am excited to enter!

While much of my experience has been with children and teenagers, I also work with adults of all ages! Adults face life transitions, career and parenting stressors, and more. In our work together, we can collaboratively learn stress reduction skills and set life boundaries that promote a more enjoyable life!

I use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), play-based therapy, Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT), walk-and-talk therapy, and other creative approaches to work with my clients as they navigate their struggles. I aim to make each of my clients feel comfortable in an environment that is identity affirming and ability-inclusive.

I currently see clients in office at Koi Counseling and Wellness in Fort Mill and online via Telehealth. For walk-and-talk therapy, I see clients at a walking trail in Clover.
